YOUR HEALTH Counts: Chatting with Nurse Clarice
In my last blog, I described my experience taking a BioIQ test for diabetes and heart disease and how I added the results to my account on MyUHC.com. It was so easy ... nothing to it but a little pin prick.
It's a great way to find out how you're doing health-wise, and if you have Associated Employers Trust or another UnitedHealthcare plan that offers the BioIQ testing – I'd encourage you to take advantage of it. Hey, I figure I need all the help I can get if I want to live long and prosper (sorry Trekkies.)
So anyway, I went on the MyUHC.com website the other night to review my test scores and see if they have any ways I can get even healthier. They do and I plan to tell you more about all the MyUHC.com health resources in the future. So if you're looking for ways to do better, check back once in a while. For today, I want to tell you about this slick service the website offers. It's an online service called "HealthAtoZ/myuhc.com nurse chat."
I decided to try it out and it was great! I asked a quick question regarding ringing in the ears and what causes it. Clarice – that was the name of the nurse – wrote to me, "I think I can give you some information to help answer your question. Please wait while I research this for you." Seconds later, she said, "Here's some information that may be helpful. It will appear at the bottom of your screen in a moment."
And it did. A screen full of great information and links to even more knowledge displayed in seconds. Then "Clarice" sent all that information and further links to my email so I could review it again at my leisure.
What a great service. Your should check it out. If you're a UnitedHealthcare benefits subscriber, but a first time visitor to the website, you'll need to register, but it's worth it. More later about UnitedHealthcare and Associated Employers Trust, and the "Your HEALTH Counts!" wellness program later...
