WEBINAR: Responding to EEOC Complaints

The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) investigates administrative complaints of employment discrimination under Title VII and the ADA (and other federal laws). While prevention of discrimination claims is still the best practice, the number of complaints filed annually with the EEOC continues to grow every year. In 2016, for example, the EEOC had 91,503 charges of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation to investigate.

While only a small percentage of these claims will be litigated (86 in fiscal year 2016), employers must take these complaints seriously and use caution in providing a response, which may be used against them not only by the agency but also a plaintiff. This webinar will discuss strategies for prevention, as well as practical considerations for filing responses.
