Jim is a Washington native, he graduated from Eastern Washington University with a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and English. He also earned a Master’s degree in Political Science from the University of Washington. Before leading the Associated Industries team, Jim served as President and CEO of the Associated Builders and Contractors of Spokane, Vice President at Jim is an active participant in community affairs and is a member of several Eastern Washington University committees, and serves on the board of the Association of Washington Business.
Nicole joined Associated Industries in 1999. She leads the employment team as well as directly serves members with employment law consulting and reviews.
Nicole graduated from Gonzaga University School of Law in 1999 and Washington State University in 1996. She is licensed to practice law in both Washington and Idaho. She is actively involved in community organizations and is a member of the Board of Directors for Mid-City Concerns. A regular presenter on employment law topics, Nicole has also authored numerous articles and teaching materials related to these matters.
Angela joined Associated Industries in January 2009. She was previously a managing partner of Randall & Danskin, P.S., her practice areas included Civil Litigation, Trust and Estate Dispute Litigation, Guardianships and Medical Negligence Defense.

Shaun T. Greer, JD, joined Associated Industries as legal counsel in 2015. He focuses on employment law, with an interest in ERISA, employee benefits, labor and affirmative action. Shaun assists employers in a variety of employment law issues including workforce leave laws, wage and hour law, as well as hiring, discipline and termination practices.
Shaun earned his undergraduate degree in 2009 from Gonzaga University, where he graduated cum laude. He went on to graduate from the University of San Francisco School of Law, where he also earned a Business Law certificate. Prior to joining Associated Industries, Shaun worked for the U.S. Department of Labor, Employee Benefits Security Administration, the Washington D.C. Office of the Attorney General, and served as a litigation clerk for K&L Gates LLP, Spokane, WA. Mr. Greer is licensed in Washington, Montana, and Illinois.
Val leads our Human Resources team, develops and delivers HR programs for members, and provides on-site HR services to member organizations. She has a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Gonzaga University, and her experience includes HR and Benefit Management in manufacturing, customer service, and technology industries. Val's background also includes the management of temporary staffing operations in Washington and Northern Idaho.

Katie graduated from Eastern Washington University with a Bachelor's in Business Administration, majoring in Human Resources. She has been certified by Human Resources Certification Institute as a Professional in Human Resources. Katie’s experience includes positions in the banking, sports facility, and retail industries. She served as a Human Resources professional and coach for Red and Associates. Katie now serves Associated Industries members and clients on HR projects, outsourced services, and provides member support.
Jason majored in Human Resources Management and earned his Bachelor’s in Business Administration at Eastern Washington University. He has been certified by Human Resources Certification Institute as a Professional in Human Resources. Jason’s experience includes HR Director positions for a youth residential treatment facility and for a healthcare provider. He served as a Human Resources professional and coach for Red and Associates. Jason now works with Associated Industries members and clients on HR projects, outsourced services, and provides member support.
Christie has a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources and Business Management from Washington State University. She has spent more than ten years in a management role in the hospitality industry where one of her many responsibilities was implementing and evolving their HR processes. Christie also worked in the online retail space where her focus was organizational development including the advancement of HR policy and processes. Christie joined Associated Industries in the fall of 2016 to serve our members and clients on HR projects, outsourced services, training, and HR support.
Andrea has a Bachelor’s degree in International Business and Spanish from Whitworth University and her Master’s degree in Communication Studies from Eastern Washington University. She is certified by the Human Resources Certification Institute as a Senior Professional in Human Resources, and a SHRM Senior Certified Professional by the Inland Northwest Society for Human Resources. Andrea has experience in the information technology, healthcare, manufacturing, social services, and non-profit industries. She served as a Human Resources professional and coach for Red and Associates. Andrea is now working with Associated Industries members and clients on HR projects, outsourced services, and provides member support.
Michelle is a graduate of Eastern Washington University with her Bachelor’s in Business Administration. Her major was Human Resources. After graduation, Michelle worked in retail and industrial service. She joined the HR team at Associated Industries in the fall of 2016 and is now serving members and clients with individual support, outsourced resources, and HR projects.
Hannah graduated from Gonzaga University with a Bachelor's of Business Administration, with concentrations in Human Resources and Operation and Supply Chain Management. She joined the GU Human Resources team for a year and a half before coming to Associated Industries. Hannah now serves Associated Industries members and clients on HR projects, outsourced services, and provides member support.
Lindsey has a Bachelor’s degree in Health Communication from San Diego State University. She was active in Student Affairs and was an Academic Mentor while attending and worked in the Information Center. She continued to work in customer service, accumulating eight years of experience in university affairs, retail, and caregiving. Most recently, Lindsey has been working in benefits operations for both health and life insurance. Lindsey joined the Associated Industries human resources team to serve members and clients on HR projects, outsourced services, and to provide member support.
Pam DeCounter was a founding owner and manager at Red and Associates. She and her team joined Associated Industries in October of 2015. Pam has more than 25 years of experience in small business management, organizational development, and Human Resources consulting. As a long-time business owner, she has first-hand knowledge and understanding of small business challenges. Pam’s experience working in corporate structures and with their leadership teams gives her a clear view of the planning and management needs of medium to large organizations. She has done consulting and planning for businesses in the construction, manufacturing, banking, hospitality, professional services, non-profit, and healthcare industries.
Pam received her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and her Master’s in Organizational Leadership from Gonzaga University where she has served as an adjunct professor.
Angi Shamblin was a founding partner of Red and Associates. She and her team joined together with Associated Industries in October of 2015. She brings with her 20+ years of experience in Human Resources, management, and first-hand knowledge and understanding of small business challenges. Angi also has hands-on experience as the Director of Human Resources for organizations with more than 800 employees, giving her insight into the needs of medium to large organizations as well. She has been consulting for more than eight years with businesses in the healthcare, hospitality, non-profit, professional services, and banking industries.
Angi received her Bachelors Degree in Business Administration from Eastern Washington University and is certified by the Human Resources Certification Institute as a Senior Professional in Human Resources.

Ed joined AI in 2005, bringing with him more than 12 years of high-level administrative and technical support skills. He works with member companies to manage claims, contain claims costs, and connects them with safety services to help reduce their industrial insurance rates.
Stefanie has a bachelor's degree from the Edward R. Murrow School of Communication and Media Studies from Washington State University. She brings more than nine years of consultative sales and business development experience, previously working in the hospitality and technology industries.
Stefanie’s role is to help small and mid-sized organizations, across multiple industries, address employer related issues more effectively through Associated Industries’ membership support and services. She will connect you with the HR & Legal support you need to make operating a business easier, safer and more prosperous.
